Songfacts®:

  • "Let's Get Married" is Miley Cyrus' unabashedly romantic ode to Maxx Morando, the musician and producer she got engaged to in December 2025 after more than four years together. There isn't much mystery to what she wants:

    Let's go get married tonight
    Let's get married
    I'm having visions of white

It's a direct proposal, delivered without any attempt at subtlety. Cyrus told Apple Music's Zane Lowe that when she writes, she either tries to express herself "in the most beautiful way possible" or simply spits it out. This one belongs firmly in the second category, though dreamy imagery like "diamonds dancing on me" helps soften the delivery.
  • Cyrus co-wrote and produced the track alongside Kid Harpoon, Monsterz & Strangerz, Michael Pollack, and Gregory Aldae Hein. Pollack, Aldae, and Kid Harpoon were all key contributors to her global smash hit "Flowers," bringing a similar pop sensibility to this track's floatier sound.
  • Cyrus described the track to Lowe as feeling "very me," comparing its lush, ethereal vibe to groups like Beach House and Cocteau Twins. She also expressed hope that fans would adopt it for their own big moments, noting, "Certain songs don't do that."
  • Director Mert Alas, who also helmed the video for "Bass Persuades," shot the black-and-white clip at Los Angeles' famous Chateau Marmont. It carries the unscripted feel of a weekend party home video, showing Cyrus dancing on a bed in leopard-print underwear while Morando films her on a Super 8 camera.

The Chateau Marmont already had a place in Cyrus' recent history. She gave "Flowers" its live debut at an invite-only event at the hotel on October 21, 2023.
