Pearl Jam's Lightning Bolt album finds frontman Eddie Vedder in a questioning mood. However, he appears to have found some answers on this song as we hear him sing: "I found my place and it's alright. I got my own way to believe." The vocalist explained to The Sun: "I'm always trying to unravel the same mysteries when I write, the same mysteries I've been trying to unravel for a few decades now. It could be questioning our existence – what is the purpose of life? What's going to be left of our future?"
John Lennon's lead guitar work on Yoko Ono's "Walking On Thin Ice" proved to be his final creative act. It was upon their return home after completing laying down the track that Lennon was murdered by Mark David Chapman.
