  • Many of the tracks on Butterfly House touch on the idea of a loss of innocence. Frontman James Skelley said in press materials: "There are a lot of metaphors for all that kind of thing. And then when you've got that as a loose concept, it kind of seeps in to what you're writing about. Like the song 'Two Faces,' it just evokes imagery of carnivals, or Tarot cards or whatever, and all that kind of thing. Just beautiful, otherworldly things. The album flows from beginning to end, like a journey. That was the idea."
