Songfacts®:

  • Train Vocalist Pat Monahan penned this track with David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Evanescence) for the John Singleton action thriller Abduction. The song was recorded, mixed and mastered in the four days that preceded Train's July - September 2011 tour with Maroon 5.

It's not the first time Train worked on spec: They did the song "Fall Out" for the soundtrack of the 2002 movie We Were Soldiers, and wrote "Brand New Book" as the theme song for The Biggest Loser.
  • The movie stars Twilight's Taylor Lautner, who said, "I've always been a big fan of Train, so I was excited to have their music be part of this film. I love the song 'To Be Loved,' and was amazed to see that not only did it play such a prominent role in this movie, but it fit the tone and feeling perfectly."
