  • Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
    By now you should've somehow
    Realized what you gotta do
    I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now

Backbeat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
    I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don't know how

Because maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you're my wonderwall

Today was gonna be the day
But they'll never throw it back to you
    By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
    I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now

And all the roads that lead you there are winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don't know how

I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you're my wonderwall

I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you're my wonderwall

I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me Writer/s: Noel Gallagher

  • Elijah from UkraineI didn`t expect they are brothers. Noel sings it better, I guess.
  • Chris from Germany Great song that hasn't aged since 1995. I always thought and I was sure that OASIS and especially the album WHATS THE STORY MORNING GLORY had been overrated. But now I do not agree. Great album. This came out in late 1995 and changed everything. It became a hit in the USA.
  • Mike from San Diego, CaSimon in Sydney, Australia, notes "The album is the second-best selling in British history. The best selling album in UK history is Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles." I might point out that ABBA's GOLD out sold both in the UK. NOT insignificant but really... in the the same breath of either of the former!?? Not to disrespect to ABBA but.... :-/ Head shaking back and forth. Level of sales...not really that meaningful to me musically. Critics don't hold much sway with me either....they originally didn't like "What's the story (Morning Glory) at all ! It's about personal taste but...come on....certain music is popular and others become enduring classics some are both. Just saying.
  • Jeff from Cambridge, United KingdomI wish Noel had sung this instead of his talentless, thug of a brother.
  • Beck from Newcastle, United KingdomOkay song. Glad it is not overplayed.
  • Will from Lonodn, United KingdomQueen have the all time number 1 UK album. That's a fact.
Oasis are s--te, always have been and always will be. This song gives you headache because of his whiny out of tune voice.
  • Carlos from Laredo, Txi belielve "live forever" was released first in the U.S. and not "wonderwall"
  • Ivy from Springfield, NeYou know what's funny? I know a Rachel Gallagher, who is dating Liam. So if they get married he can be Liam Gallagher! or she can be Rachel Andrews-Bancroft...anyway! good song, a little too ehhhhhhhhhhhh, when they sing, u know? 6/10
  • Brian from Boston, MaQuick story. I am an amature guitar player and I had purchased a songbook with this song in it. The chords are pretty basic [played with capo on the second frett] I had tried playing this song over and over and I just could not get the rythm right. The rythm is so important in this song. After a few weeks I just kind of gave up. A few months latter I was at work and this song came on the radio. All of a sudden I got it. For some reason or another it just cliked in my head and I realized how to play it.This happened early in the day and all I could think of was going home and playing this. When I finally got home I grabbed my guitar slapped the capo on it and played the song corectly.I was amazed at this nothing like this had ever happened to me before. The funny thing is to the rythm is not that difficult but I just could not get it for some reason.
  • Alex from Lisboa, PortugalI heard they made this song because of the childhood of the gallagher brothers. They had a drinking father who used to beat them up, and when he was sober, he told the boys not to be sad about what happened, and to draw stuff on the so called "Wonderwall"...i think the fact they cant forget that is because they cant forgive their father for it..so to "save" themselves, they nedd their father apology...
  • Fredrik from Stockholm, SwedenWhat is the meaning of the text and what do you think "Wonderwall" means?
  • Penny Lane from El Paso, Txmy fav song of all time. i thank oasis for the song...but ryan adams made me fall in love with the song.
  • Hugh from Oxfordshire, United KingdomOasis sounds like the Beatles with this song.
  • Ryan from Cincinatti, OhI know Noel really wanted to sing this, but I'm kinda glad Liam did.
  • Matt from Houston, TxDid anyone else notice the dude on here who says his name is" veddie edder" from seattle. that's just awesome
  • Theresa from Murfreesboro, TnThis song has a haunting quality, the band's best song ever!
  • Ali from Brooklyn, NyWonderwall means alot to me. it makes me think of this girl who means the world to me my wonderwall(maybe she's gonna be the one that save me) I listen to it when I can't sleep hoping that just maybe she feels the same way I do. Wonderwall Is a great song and I guess everyone has there own meaning for it but I like mines.
  • Robert from Austin, TxThis song is awesome! It reminds me of somebody that I will always have in my heart. "All the roads we have to walk are winding." In the end you will find eachother at some place and some time in the future. You only had one chance and that was all. Song makes you realize alot. "Your my WONDERWALL punk."
  • Flake from Sydney, Australiaits original and addictive to listen to! its a great song!
  • Lukas from Panevëþys, Lithuanialike Noel mentioned: it's a well-known oasis song worldwide, but most of americans believe, that it's Ryan Adams song, as Kevin, from Lakewood, OH said. :>
by the way, this and other few songs were sang in Electric Proms 2008 with Crouch End Festival Chorus.
by the way2, i bought a brand new guitar coz' i wanted to learn to play this song by meself. (i can do that now!) mad fer it
  • Mark from London, United KingdomDear sir

I thought Wonderwall was about someones life, where they had to knock down metaphorical walls, only to find another wall.
  • Peter Clarke from Hobart, AustraliaWonderwall is the wall in the toilet which you stare and wonder at while having a s--t.
  • Amy from Liverpool, United Kingdomlove this song, reminds me of someone close 2 me =] <3
  • Krista from Carbondale, PaI like the lyrics of this song, they're very cool and unique.
  • Susan from Westchestertonfieldville, VaRyan Adams did a cover to this and I think it is sweeter.
I remember when Oasis came on the scene, this was the overplayed song of that summer, my sister liked it, I could care less but it brings back memories.
  • Nick from Edmonton, CanadaI think that Simple Plan stole this song and made "Your Love Is a Lie". If you listen to them closely, they sound very similar. ( Not that I'm defending Simple Plan; their music is garbage, Oasis is far better)
  • Grace from Bundaberg, AustraliaI absolutely love this song. Its so amazing, the lyrics, the melody, the harmony..its beautiful.
Its definitly in my top 5 favourite songs.
And no, this song ISNT about Noel and his divorce from Meg Matthews.
  • Mick from Las Vegas, NvThis song is about growing up. You have your dreams and your heros (Today's the day that their going to throw it back to you) and then you become an adult and realize that they are never going to throw it back to you. You turn back to your heros (your wonderwall - the posters you have on your wall as a kid) and realize that they are old, faded, and the "fire in their heart is out". You cling to the past and hope that they can save you.
  • Veddie Edder from Seattle (coincidence), -pretty good song. horrendously overplayed though.
  • Abhimanyu from Shimla, IndiaThis song is absolutely brilliant.... It's one of the first songs I learnt to play on the guitar and I still play it pretty much everytime I pick up a guitar.... Although Ryan Adams's version was pretty good too and sort of brought new meaning to the song in conjunction with love the original is a modern classic.... And Boulevard of Broken Dreams may sound like it being a musician I can say that sometimes you come up with a sequence of melodies that might be similar to an existing one but the pitch modulations determine its originality and so it's perfectly possible for Billy Joe Armstrong to have thought it up independently....
  • Bertrand from Paris, FranceThe brothers Gallagher (Liam and Noel) and their band Oasis helped usher in a new period of glory for British guitar pop, at least in the UK. This is one of their few breakthrough American hits. It is gorgeous and irresistibly prods you into singing along.
  • Alan from Northern Ireland, EuropeWriting to correct "nick" noel wrote ciggrettes and alcohol and rod stewart coverd it. not the other way around!
  • Blake from Manchester, TnRanked 35 on Vh1's 100 Greatest Songs of the 90's.......if that's not a miscarriage of justice, I don't know what is.
  • Emi from Dallas, TxEvery time i think of this song I think of an old friends talking to one another, and one friend is confronting each other with how much they have changed. And they need each other to save them from them selfs.
    looooove this song! :]
  • Andrea from Mundelein, Ili absolutly LOVE this song.... me and three of my closest friends put on this song almost everyday!! i miss them and everytime i hear this song i think of the good times i had with my boy and our friends!
  • Mark from Worcester, MiPretty intense.
  • Merek from Atlanta, GaOk, this song is NOT a about a girl. Noel pointed that out in his interview. The song is about George Harrison releasing his solo work so recently after his Beatles work. The title of the Oasis song comes from Harrison's album "Wonderwall Music". Now to the lyrics: during the song "Wonderwall" they sing "Backbeat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out". GEORGE HARRISON'S NICKNAME IS BACKBEAT! The song goes on to talk about how he shouldn't have released that album because it's so unlike what he did with the Beatles: "by now, you should've somehow realized what your not to do". There's even a movie about George Harrison doing these very things and it's called...you guessed it...Backbeat (1994).
  • Tiffany from Calgary, CanadaMy Number one favorite song of all time...everyone who knows me knows this is my song!!!
  • Tyler from Prospect, PaI belive this song loving a girl and he think shes in trouble like maybe drugs.
  • Nenabeena from Logan, UtActually...Joe...Kevin is half right. Ryan Adams (is another musician, other than the Bryan Adams you are talking about)did a cover of this song for the television show The O.C. and then released it on his album, Love is Hell, in 2004. However Kevin is wrong also, because this song is originally a Oasis song. It was written by one of the band's members and released on the album (What's the Story)Morning Glory?, in 1995.
  • Joe from Fort Meade, MdHey Kevin, last time I checked, the guy's name was Bryan Adams...with a "B." You know, the guy that Trey Parker and Matt Stone killed the career of in less than three seconds in "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut"?
  • Chris from Cape Coral, FlI think this song is more about wanting this person. If I'm wrong, whatever. But the lyrics are still very good.
  • Luke from Manchester, EnglandThis song is apparantly about "triumph in the face of adversity". There was a soccer match (Manchester United vs. Manchester City) where Manchester City formed a wall against a free kick, and kept blocking all the shots United took at the goal, going on to win the game. The headline the next morning read: "Wonderwall". [This was on a documentary about the song.]
  • Rose from Middlebury, InThis is for Kevin, from Lakewood, OH. Are you serious? Ryan Adams did not write Wonderwall. Thats crap. His verison was a cover. Oasis released the song in 1995 and Ryan Adamas released it in 2004. Best song ever. I love it!
  • Sam from South Kingston, RiOk, lets get this straight. Wonderwall is a great song. Green Day may have ripped off Oasis, but Oasis takes plenty of things. Oasis isn't that much like the Beatles, but they are similar. And this song is about whatever you intepret it to be about
  • Coty from Springfield, Ohthis is easily one of the most amazing songs ever made.
  • Tiffany from Calgary, CanadaI absolutley love this song is so beautiful. This is and has been and will be my number one song of all time. This song is my wonderwall! Thanks Oasis for making the best song of all time!
  • Reagan from CardiffAll I have to say is that Oasis rocks and so does this song. Amen.
  • Christy from Jacksonville, FlOasis can not even be COMPARED to green day. Did any one who listened to Oasis listen to Sex Pistols OR the Ramones NNNOO. Com' on' Yeah any band that wants to sing like the Beatles is gonna sound like the Beatles. But if Oasis ripped off the Beatles should you really down out GREAT!!! punk stars for having a gosh darly blue day and sounding like Oasis!
  • Dave from Cardiff, WalesClaire, it's a free country, so if someone wants to say bad things about Oasis then they can. Oasis are no longer the great band they were 10 years ago - now they sound tired, aloof and listless. Their first two albums were excellent, but the third album was catastrophically bad, and they've never reached the former heights of their releases between 1994 and 1996 since
  • Dave from Cardiff, WalesNathan - Oasis' fans accusing Green Day of plagiarism is the biggest irony. Of course, Oasis have never copied anyone, have they?? Oh, hang on - for no apparent reason, the names of Lennon/McCartney, Roger Daltry, Mick Jagger etc. all suddenly spring to mind...
  • Dave from Cardiff, WalesMike Flowers claimed at the time in 1995 that his version of "Wonderwall" was the original and Oasis' was a cover. Flowers did this so that the controversy would produce a hit record for himself, and his version of Wonderwall made No.2 in the UK at Christmas 1995. When his next two singles in 1996 (which were both also covers, of The Doors' "Light My Fire" and of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from Evita) flopped in the UK charts, Flowers' career quickly came to a grinding halt. The fact that all of the songs on Mike Flowers Pops' debut album were covers meant that his claims he wrote "Wonderwall" lost credence, but we all knew Oasis wrote the song anyway! :-)
  • Joe from DublinWhen Noel wrote this and Don't Look Back In Anger, he showed them both to Liam, who said they were "both sh*te". Noel said 'tough sh*t, you're singing one of them' and he picked this. It all worked out for the best there, i reckon
  • Steve from Laconia, NhThe comment above about this and "Don't look back in anger" being Oasis' only singles released in the US is false. Champagne Supernova was also relased as a single in the US.
  • Nathan from Manchester, Englandhey len, I know for a fact that you cant write a better song than this, so please shut your mouth about how much you hate Oasis.
  • Len from Raleigh, NcOASIS rips off the Beatles very blatantly, they have no writing talent of their own!!!
  • Nathan from Manchester, EnglandGreen Day need to go back to their little world of slickly produced "punk rock" and stop ripping off of Oasis songs for their ideas. The similarites between this song and Boulevard of Broken Dreams are rather obvious to the vigilant ear. All hail Oasis.
  • Robb from London, EnglandAwesome song, shame "real" oasis fans consider this song average because everyone else likes it. Sure they're off finding hidden tracks which no one has heard just so they can be different. :(

Kudos to Ryan Adams for his version which was perfect in the scene for the O.C.
  • Veronica from Micanopy, FlDespite what has been said about it's meaning I believe this is a love song all the way. It is summing up how much he loves her and not being able to describe it in words. And how she will be the one who saves him from himself.
  • Dave from Hanoi, OtherThis is one of my favourite song.I also like cover version sang by Ryan Adams.Beastie Boys also did cover this song but their version was f**king terrible
  • Luke from Montpelier, VtAccording to Liam, the term Wonderwall is: you're sitting on a bus, totally broke and out of smokes and you reach into your pocket and find $5 (or pounds or Euros).
  • Kate from Los Angeles, CaThis website has the mashed version of Wonderwall, Boulevard, and such, along with a mashed music video of the two...

  • Izzie from Lala, Hithis song is so good..... i dont even know what its about. a love song? possibly. it sounds like it. Theres something very addictive about it, though,
  • Aimee from Woodbridge, VaI'm sorry to inform you Kevin, but "Wonderwall" was not written by Ryan Adams. He is the one that did a cover of the song.

Anyway, I absolutely love this song. It's my second favorite song ever.
  • Yusuf from Mumbai, IndiaThis songs is very catchy.Im nt much of an oasis fan but i love dis song.Juss cant stop singing it.
  • Kevin from Lakewood, OhWonderwall isnt even their song. Its a song by Ryan Adams...they simply re-did it, so if you want to know the meaning, Oasis is not the one to turn to!
  • Nick from Cambridge, EnglandCiggarettes and Alcohol is a cover from Rod Stewart and the Faces from teh 70's. In my opinion the origional was much better.
  • Aaron from Canton, OhMaura, no matter how similar "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is to "Wonderwall", Oasis will not sue. Noel Gallagher has made no secret fo the fact that he has totally ripped off other bands (Cigarettes and Alcohol is CLEARY a rip off of "Get it On", just one of many examples with Gallagher), so he doesn't care if people rip off his songs.
  • Alex from MontrealLyrics arent great, and repetitive...but how the Eck should i care, the song is nice :D
  • Jeff from Detroit, MiMatt from Bristol, England you're a joke. I love the people that claim to be true fans and assume the right to tell people which songs they should and shouldn't like and which ones are good. What's good to someone, isn't good to someone else, it's all subjective. That's what music is. That's what most things are like, 'cept for soccer, that sucks....
  • Jason from Dorset, Englandawful lyrics , awsome song !
  • Maura from Orlando, FlOasis should sue Green Day for making a song sound almost like theirs, lol. Wonderwall sounds like Boulevard of Broken Dreams in the beginning. The beat, the violin... all ya gotta do is listen and you'll notice a similarity. But this song rocks. Anyone here heard the mash-up between BOBD and Wonderwall? It's really cool. It'll show ya how much alike the two songs are.
  • Matt from Bristol, EnglandIf you are truly an Oasis fan, you would realize how distinctly average the song actuaaly is.
  • Keturah from Glassboro, NjThe song is about loving someone. It's that simple. A wonderwall is whatever we want it to be, just the same as the rest of the lyrics. -- Why cut into this song so deep like that? It's taking away the emotion of the song, in knowing every little detail. Maybe it's just me though.
  • Keturah from Glassboro, NjIt's almost like a cruel person who has hurt the person who loves them, and the cruel being dosn't really care. Dispite that, the one who loves the other dosn't care and still loves the other. -- Just thinking about that person could save the other.

But honestly... why take this song and really cut into it? Why take a word and try to give it one set meaning? In analyzing it, it's taking away the emotion. Well, atleast to me that's how it seems. The song is about love... What more do people care, you know?
  • Grace from Fairfax Station, VaI was just about to say that this song was very romantic, but I read the thing above and Noel says it's about an imaginary friend who's coming to save the author. So, I guess it's sort of sad once you think about it. However, I wouldn't have used "wonderwall". Most people don't know what that is. This is in my top 5, though. It's a beautiful song.
  • Matt from Sydney, AustraliaJammie mentioned the mix of this song, its called "boulevard of broken songs" and features boulevard of broken dreams with the wonderwall guitar chords underneath and interchanging vocals, a travis song, not sure which, and dream on
  • Nathan from Defiance, OhI heard that in an interview Liam or Noel, dissed George Harrison. Maybe thats why they haven't been heard of in ten years.
  • Zoe from Mount Gambier, AustraliaEden from Melbourne South Australia Mentioned Tripod, who do an awesome Oasis Medelly! Tripod have done some other awesome send ups, and I recommend people look them up!

I am addicted to everything Oasis, and I love Noel! I can't wait till the come out here in November, i'll be waiting patiently!
  • Claire from Manchester, EnglandNo one say ANYTHING bad about Noel Gallagher or Oasis! Wonderwall is a great song. Shame it's about Meg Matthews and now they've split up. But oh well. That's life, or c'est la vie as the French say.
  • Frank from Leeds, Englandthis song was not written by him noel and nether was Dont look back i n anger they are both stolen songs!
  • Edan from Melbourne, AustraliaOasis has been the target of some other muscisians other the fact that they have the same tune in most of their songs. THe others must have been jealous because they sold so many copies one of the people to take shot at oasis's songs are an australian comedy trio called tripod with their song Oasis Medelly which was very humorous
  • Stephen from Newcastle Upon Tyne, EnglandI don't really believe the song really about anything much. I read somewhere that noel said the song was putting your arm around someone and saying "we're in this together" Most of Noel's lyrics make no sene anyway, but the meaning is there.
Anyways, amazing song, definately best of the nineties and among the best ever.
  • James from Capernaum, KsThis song is, in my firm opinion, the second finest composition of the 90's, standing only behind another Oasis record-- 'Champagne Supernova'. This song completely sums up my current life situation with a girl I love, and the various obstructions standing in the way of anything concrete between us. Beautiful lyrics, nice, simplictic guitar part, and clever, quiet Beatles nod with the title, although the song's one-- if possible -- flaw is that a 'wonderwall' within the context of the movie is not the girl, but the wall in the man's house; a minour technicality when compared to the musical genius of Noel Gallagher and co.
  • Kati from Superior, CoThis is a great song and there are alot of good covers of it.
  • Charlotte from Kansas City, Moi like this song but the whole look through the fence sounds a little stalkish and creepy.
  • Izzie from Lala, HiI dont know much about this song but i absolutely love this song its awesome its sooo good i love it! i love the sound!
  • Andy from Sacramento, CaRegarding the parody cover... Alan from Singapore is in fact correct. There was a version done by the Mike Flowers Pops, who I'm 99% sure is not the same as Bob Ricci. Mr Ricci must have done a different cover. I saw Mike Flowers and his band perform this cover, and other songs, in the UK back in the mid 1990s. The Mike Flowers Pops version came out only a month or two after the Oasis version, and I believe made it to number 1 in the UK. For a while both versions were in the top 20 or 30 of the UK charts.
  • David from Stockport, Cheshire, Englandwell, what can i say about oasis that hasn't already been said? not much, but i'm from stockport which is right next to burnage where the brothers are from, and i can tell all you people that don't know, its about meg, and the way he felt about her, and plz people, noel does not rip the beatles tracks off, he's too clever to do that, david_taylor55@hotmail.com
  • Decatur from New York, NyChristina and Matt you are both right. I agree with you both. This is about a girl who someone falls in love with(Probably obviously the composer just like anyone could fall in love with someone). "And I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now." But he plans to tell her (hence the lyrics "Today was gonna be the day that I'm gonna throw it back to you," in a gesture and explain evrything to her but he can not get himself around to doing it. He is too afraid of what she will think and what it will change if she reacts the way he thinks she will. "And there a many things that i would like to say to you but i don't know how." He thinks she will freak out and not be able to understand. Wonderwall is obvious. This just means that she is simply all he can think about. "After all, your my wonderwall."
  • Karis from London, Englandi thought wonderwall named after a wall in the gallagher's kitchen where their mother used to pin all they're drawings. all i know is it's a f*c*ing good song!
    dookie girl -x-
  • Neil from Sunderland, Dcin many interviews Noel has admitted this came from the wall tehy had in their (Noel and Liam's) bedroom where they graffittiedamny son lyrics over it
  • Jackie from Chicago, Iljammie, i agree. that medley with aerosmith and greenday was awesome!
  • Alan from Singapore, SingaporeA band called The Mike Flowers Pops came up with a new rendition of this song, even down to making it sound like a scratchy record
  • Hammerlock from Grand Rapids, MiActually, the parody you're refering to is by a guy called "Bob Ricci".
  • Jack Lee from Nottingham, EnglandWeird Al did a parody of this called 'Wonderbra'
  • Jammie from Deckerville, MiThis song is mixed with Green Day's "Boularvald of Broken Dreams" (I can't spell) Also aerosmith's "Dream On" is to. It's a pretty awesome song.
  • Tom from Trowbridge, EnglandThe best-selling album of all time, anywhere in the world is Thriller by Michael Jackson; it's sold 54 million copies. Back in Black by AC/DC is a distant second having sold 42 million copies
  • Catherine from Glasgow, EnglandThe best selling album ever is sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band by the batles. Don't know what's number one in just the uk though but it's probebly the same or bat out of hell.
  • Holly from Edmonton, CanadaAccording to Paolo Hewitt's "Getting High - The Adventures of Oasis", Noel wrote this song to his friend-turned-girlfriend Meg Matthews. Obviously Noel wanted to sing this song on the album, but gave Liam the choice of either singing this one or 'Don't Look Back in Anger' because of Noel's strong feelings tied to both.
  • Euan from Glasgow, ScotlandFAO Robin...

...noel once said in an interview that they ripped off the intro to imagine for dont look back in anger to stick the finger up at critics who called them "simply a beatles tribute"

and also, in the glasgow venue where oasis were signed, king tuts wah wah hut, there is a comunal urinal and it says on the wall infront THE WONDERWALL! cracks me up everytime!
  • Nick from Arlington Heights, IlThe opening riff of "Wonderwall" is also heard at the beginning of "Hello", the lead track on this album
  • Si from London, EnglandAccording to an interview in a music magazine (can't remember which one) ca.1996, Noel Gallagher said that the name "Wonderwall" came about from a wall in his and Liam's shared bedroom when they were kids. Both of them used to stick pictures of famous footballers or rock singers or anyone they admired a lot, and they called it the "wonder wall". Apparently the title has nothing to do with the George Harrison album "Wonderwall Music".

Of course Noel could have been talking crap and saying that as a way of deflecting criticism that Oasis copied the Beatles too much....
  • Christina Cavanna from Glastonbury, CtThis is a terrific song with great lyrics and deep meanings. To me it is about a person finding themselves falling deeper and deeper in love but not being able to tell them to their face because they are afraid of what their reaction will be. But everybody else knows what they feel for them. They're hoping this person will save them from either a past relationship or issues within their lives.
  • Matt from Terre Haute, InTo me it's about a guy who realizes that he?s in love with a girl. He tries to make a move on this day but somehow can't. She?s getting over another relationship. He realizes that this girl is going to save him. He wants to tell how he feels (the chorus is what he want to say) but she already knows this from other people telling her.
  • Tom from Trowbridge, EnglandI thought the top selling album in the UK was either 'Bat out of Hell' by Meat Loaf or 'Abba Gold' by Abba
  • Heather from Mead, Nei love this song so much but what is a wonderwall
  • David Gilmour from Warwickshire, EnglandIt was Ryan Adams' cover of Wonderwall that inspired Noel to play it live again, not Richard Ashcroft. Noel was due to play it with Ryan at the NME awards i think last year, but Adams pulled out due to an ear infection or something.
  • Robin from Sydney, CanadaDid anyone else realize that the music to "Don't Look Back in Anger" is a rip-off of John Lennon's "Imagine"
  • Matt from Belfast, IrelandNoel dedicated the song "cast no shadow" to Richard Ashcroft on the same album
  • Natasha from Oberlin, OhWhen I first heard "Wonderwall" I fell in love with it. "Don't look back in anger" is also an incredible song, both which come from what I believe is their best CD "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" from 1995. "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" is one of their best songs in quite a while from the CD "Heathen Chemistry" from 2002. I think Oasis's earlier CDs are better than they are now.
  • Simon from Newcastle, Englandwas champagne supernova released in america? if so ur lucky, its the best record theyve ever made and wasnt released here.
  • Matthew from New York, NyActually, the band released a third single from the album: "Champaigne Supernova"
  • Andy from Halifax, EnglandI belive that the 'band' that nole heard covering it was in fact, former lead singer of british band 'the verve', Richard Ashcroft
  • Thomas Eb from Groningen, NetherlandsIt's a song about - putting it in Noel's own words - love and hope. "All the roads we have to walk are winding. All the lights that lead us there are blinding. There are many things..." Indeed, after his devorce with Meg Matthews - the song is about his relationship with her - Noel decided not to preform this song enymore. But when he heard Wonderwall played by a band when he was at a concert, he thought "It's actually a fine song.. Let's play it again."
  • Steven from Market Harborough, EnglandQuality Music
