  • Oh what the hell she says
I just can't win for losing
    And she lays back down
    Man there's so many times
    I don't know what I'm doin'
    Like I don't know now

By the light of the moon
    She rubs her eyes
Says it's funny how the night
    Can make you blind
    I can just imagine
And I don't know what I'm supposed to do
But if she feels bad then I do too
    So I let her be

    [Chorus]
    And she says, oh
    I can't take no more
Her tears like diamonds on the floor
And her diamonds bring me down
'Cause I can't help her now
    She's down in it
She tried her best and now she can't win
It's hard to see them on the ground
    Her diamonds falling down

    Way down

Well she sits down and stares into the distance
    And it takes all night
And I know I could break her concentration
    But it don't feel right

By the light of the moon
    She rubs her eyes
Sits down on the bed and starts to cry
And there's something less about her
And I don't know what I'm supposed to do
So I sit down and I cry too
    But don't let her see

    [Chorus]

    She shuts out the night
    Tries to close her eyes
    If she can find daylight
    She'll be alright
    She'll be alright
    Just not tonight

    And she says, oh
    I can't take no more
Her tears like diamonds on the floor
And her diamonds bring me down
'Cause I can't help her now
    She's down in it
She tried her best and now she can't win it
Hard to see them on the ground
    Her diamonds falling

    [Chorus]

    (I can't take no more)
    (Diamonds on the floor)
    (No more) no more
    (No more)
    Diamonds falling down
    (I can't take no more)
    (Diamonds on the floor)
(No more, no more, no more, no more)
    Diamonds falling down, yeah
    (I can't take no more)
    (Diamonds on the floor)
    (No, no, no, no)
Oh diamonds fall, and oh her diamonds
    Diamonds falling down
I can't take these diamonds falling down Writer/s: ROBERT THOMAS

  • Kali Girl Kim from Los AngelesSuffering from Hashimotos for 6 years. This song hugs my heart and kisses my soul.
  • Karen Anderson from Paris Tennessee His wife has Lyme Disease. It's a horrible disease. I know firsthand because I have Lyme Disease, too.
  • Crystal from Los Angeles Since 09 I have loved this song. I always interpreted it as women in a break down going though some dark times and he stuck by her with such a beautiful understanding to her pain. Now 10 years later i am diagnosed with MS finding out it more about her having a Auto immune disease like mine. I can related in such a stronger way now. It has such a bigger meaning to me now.
  • Angela from Arizona, AzThis song touched my heart what a wonderful song. I live with Lupus (SLE) since 2004 this song says it all and it also tells how it is for loved ones who are close to people who live with this disease. His feelings are in this song and it is beautiful.
  • Lily from Los Angeles, CaI always interpreted it as a girl falling in love but realizing it wasn't what she wanted/what she thought. The guy loving her but letting her move on.
But this meaning about cancer and everythign makes more sense.
  • Jeanne from Wasilla, AkEven though this song had a slightly different meaning than from what I interpreted it to be, it still had the same roots of meaning emptathy. Every time it comes on the radio, it reminds me of a close friend who falls hard for any guy she's with and always ends up with her heart broken. It's painful too see. Almost all of the time, the most I can do for her is just sit by her.
  • San from San Fransisco, CaHer diamonds is a song about a close friend trying to be there for a girl who just had her heart broken. He's trying to help her through it.
